Jericho Beach Park is one of Vancouver's most well-known kitesurf spots, located in English Bay facing north. The park offers wide beach access and full facilities (showers, restrooms, parking). It's the historic kitesurfing spot of Vancouver, though regulations have evolved and become more restrictive in recent years.

Flat to choppy water in English Bay. Shallow sandy bottom for a good distance. The bay is protected from Pacific swells. Thermal NW winds develop in the afternoon during summer, creating regular conditions. Limited fetch in the bay.
Strict Vancouver Park Board regulations — kitesurfing is subject to zone and schedule restrictions. Check current rules before riding. Dense marine traffic (cargo ships, ferries, kayaks, paddleboards). Swimming zones off-limits to kites in summer. Cold water year-round.
