Olbrich Park is a kitesurf spot on Lake Monona in Madison. Smaller than neighboring Lake Mendota, Lake Monona still offers sufficient water for kitesurfing and wingfoiling. Olbrich Park provides good water access from the east shore. Convenient urban spot with parking and amenities. Season from May to October.
Freshwater with flat to slightly choppy conditions. More limited fetch than Lake Mendota. Moderate depth. Muddy bottom. Water warms in summer.
