New Road is a flat water spot on the bay side of Delaware Seashore State Park, on the shores of Rehoboth Bay. It's one of the best flat water spots in Delaware, offering calm and shallow waters ideal for beginners and freestyle. The state park provides good bay access with grassy and sandy launch areas. Southwest winds cross the bay unobstructed, offering good wind conditions. Very popular spot with the Delaware and neighboring Maryland kite community.

Very shallow at low tide — check tide. Horseshoe crabs on the bottom. Jellyfish possible in summer. Tidal currents in passes. State park with entrance fee in summer. Mosquitoes and greenheads abundant in light wind. Thunderstorms possible in summer.
