Gjerrild Nordstrand is an exposed beach on the north coast of the Djursland peninsula. The spot faces north towards the Kattegat and offers varied sailing conditions with chop in northerly winds. It's a fairly exposed spot suited for kitesurfers with some experience.
Chop to short waves depending on wind strength and direction. In sustained northerly winds, waves can reach 1 m. The bottom is sandy with progressive depth.
