Troubridge Island is a kitesurfing spot located off the Yorke Peninsula in South Australia, in the Investigator Strait between Gulf St Vincent and Spencer Gulf. This small isolated island offers a unique and wild setting for kitesurfing. The prevailing wind comes from the southwest in summer. The island is surrounded by shallow waters and sandbars, offering exceptional flat water conditions. The total isolation of the island means unobstructed wind and pure sailing conditions. The spot is reserved for advanced and self-sufficient riders only. Access requires a boat and there are no rescue services. The island is a nature reserve for birds and seals. You must be completely self-sufficient in water, food and rescue.
