Struisbaai is a historic fishing village near Cape Agulhas, renowned for having the longest natural fishing jetty in South Africa. The long white sand beach offers excellent kite conditions with reliable wind and relatively sheltered waters thanks to an offshore reef. The village is authentic and peaceful, with stingrays regularly feeding in the harbor.
Works in SE and E from October to March. The reef partially protects from big swells, making conditions more accessible. Rideable at all tides. Wind picks up early afternoon.
Moderate waves thanks to the reef. Sandy bottom. Water at 15-19°C, 3/2 wetsuit. Moderate current.

Sharks. Stingrays in the harbor — shuffle your feet. Current near the reef. Don't venture beyond the reef.
SE and E side-onshore, 15-25 knots from October to March. Reliable wind in the Agulhas area. The offshore reef breaks the swell and creates calmer conditions than nearby exposed spots.
