Verige is located at the narrowest strait of the Bay of Kotor, a spectacular fjord on the Montenegrin coast. This narrow passage between the mountains powerfully channels the wind, offering sustained but demanding riding conditions. The dominant winds are the Bora (NE) in winter and the Maestral (NW) in summer, both accelerated by the Venturi effect of the strait. Gusts can be violent and the water choppy, making this spot reserved for experienced riders.
