Asprokavos is Corfu's southernmost point, an exposed headland facing south and southeast. This wild and isolated spot offers challenging conditions for advanced riders. The island's southern tip catches southerly (Sirocco) and southwesterly winds with no protection. The water is open with swell and currents. This is an exploration spot for strong southerly wind days.
Rideable only in southerly wind (SE, S, SW), mainly in spring and autumn. Difficult launch on rocky coastline — scout for sandy access points. Open sea riding with swell. Exploration spot, no facilities or schools. Bring your own gear and experience.
Open water with southern swell. Waves of 1-2m possible. Rocky bottom in places, sandy in others. Currents around the headland. Water gets deep quickly offshore.

Open all year round
Difficult access. Unpaved road from Lefkimmi or Kavos. Limited parking by the track. Plan for an off-road vehicle or walk from Kavos.
ADVANCED SPOT: dangerous rocky coast, strong currents around the headland, swell. No lifeguards or rescue nearby. NEVER ride alone. Absolutely avoid in NW wind (offshore). Maritime traffic in the channel to the south. Rocky bottom — be careful with crashes. Isolated spot, bring communication equipment.
The spot catches southerly winds with no protection: Sirocco (SE), S and SW winds. These winds arrive onshore to side-onshore on the southern tip. Wind is often reinforced by the cape effect (acceleration around the headland). In summer, the Maestro (NW) creates offshore conditions here — absolutely avoid. The spot only works in southerly wind, more frequent in spring and autumn.
