Puerto Varas is a kitesurf spot on Lake Llanquihue, in the Los Lagos region of Chile. This lake, the second largest in Chile, offers a spectacular view of the Osorno volcano. The thermal wind blows in the afternoon between 12 and 20 knots from November to February. The lake offers perfect flat water. The spot is suitable for beginner riders thanks to the flat water. The water is cold (12-18°C). Puerto Varas is a popular tourist destination with good infrastructure.
