Santa Cruz de La Palma is the main wind sports spot on La Palma. The beach of the island's capital on the east coast is where the small local kite and windsurf community rides.
La Palma is not a primary wind sports destination — conditions are less consistent than on the eastern Canary Islands. But Santa Cruz offers relaxed, family-friendly conditions suitable for windsurf and wingfoil on good days. For dedicated wind trips, prefer Fuerteventura, Tenerife, Lanzarote or Gran Canaria.
