Otaki Beach is a kitesurf spot located on the Kapiti Coast, in the Wellington region, on the North Island of New Zealand. This beach faces west towards the Tasman Sea and is located opposite Kapiti Island. The Kapiti Coast is renowned for its regular winds and numerous kite spots. The prevailing winds come from the northwest, west and south. The spot is suitable for intermediate kitesurfers. The beach offers good launch space and conditions vary with the tide. Kapiti Island opposite offers some protection depending on the wind direction.
