Spot de Barrachois Harbour

Barrachois Harbour

Barrachois Harbour

Overview

Barrachois Harbour is a spot on Nova Scotia's north coast, facing the Northumberland Strait. The Northumberland Strait, separating Nova Scotia from Prince Edward Island, offers the warmest waters in Atlantic Canada (up to 21°C in summer!). The barachois (coastal lagoon) offers protected waters ideal for kitesurfing, while the strait beyond provides more open conditions. One of the few Nova Scotia spots where a light wetsuit is sufficient in midsummer.
