Össby is a kitesurf spot located in the south of Öland Island, in Kalmar County. The spot faces the Baltic Sea on the east coast of the island. The eastern exposure captures winds coming from the Baltic. Southern Öland is known for its open heath landscapes (the Alvaret) and windy conditions. South, southwest and east winds are the most frequent. Össby is a local spot on Öland suitable for intermediate riders. The south of the island generally offers better wind conditions thanks to the flat terrain.
