Point Turton

Point Turton

Overview

Point Turton is a kitesurf spot located on the west coast of the Yorke Peninsula in South Australia, on the Spencer Gulf. This small coastal village offers a sheltered bay ideal for kitesurfing in relatively calm conditions. The prevailing wind comes from the southwest in summer, blowing cross-shore across the bay. The waters are protected and shallow with a sandy bottom. The spot offers conditions suitable for different levels thanks to the bay's protection. The best season is from November to March. The spot is suitable for beginners and intermediate riders. Point Turton has a campsite, a jetty and basic amenities. It is a popular spot for holidays and fishing on the Yorke Peninsula.
