Overview

Mounts Bay is a large bay in Cornwall sheltering Penzance and Marazion, with the iconic view of St Michael's Mount. The south-facing bay offers good protection from northerly winds, but works well with southeast to southwest winds.

Hazards
St Michael's Mount and its submersible causeway. Tidal currents in the bay. Rocks around the Mount. Maritime traffic (Penzance harbour). Swell can enter the bay in southerly conditions.
