Overview

Hamaatsuma is a kitesurfing spot on the south coast of Hokkaido. This spot offers powerful wind conditions typical of Hokkaido, with prevailing west to northwest winds. The main season is summer and autumn, as winter is too cold and snowy.

The water is oceanic, exposed to the Pacific. Tides are present. Suited for intermediate to advanced riders due to sometimes strong winds and cold water.
