Suttons Bay Marina is a kitesurf spot on Suttons Bay, an arm of Grand Traverse Bay on Lake Michigan. More sheltered conditions than open lake. Marina offering good water access. Picturesque setting in Michigan's wine region. Season from May to October.

Freshwater with calmer conditions than open Lake Michigan. Moderate chop. Sandy bottom. Water warms in summer but stays cool. Wetsuit recommended.
Heavy boat traffic from the marina. Sudden thunderstorms. Shallows possible in the bay. Cold water in spring and fall. Check weather.
