Lago Fiume Tirso (Lake Omodeo) is an inland kitesurf spot in central Sardinia, situated in the largest artificial reservoir on the island, created by the Santa Chiara dam on the Tirso river. At 104m altitude, the lake benefits from strong thermal winds in the afternoon, funnelled by the surrounding hills. The flat water and consistent thermals make it particularly interesting for foiling and freestyle. An unusual and peaceful alternative to the coastal spots, with a dramatic inland Sardinian landscape.
