The Baie des Chaleurs offers excellent fetch in south wind. Tides are moderate (1-2m). Ideal learning conditions in the barachois.
The barachois dries out at low tide — check schedules. Current at the barachois entrance. Recreational boating in the bay. The Baie des Chaleurs can generate waves in sustained south wind beyond the barachois. Swimming area to respect in summer.
