Lake Joseph is a Muskoka region lake, Ontario's iconic "cottage country." The lake is surrounded by forest and luxury cottages. A small elongated north-south lake of about 8 km, wind can be irregular due to the surrounding wooded terrain.
Limited access — most shoreline is private property. Some public access via boat launches. For experienced riders due to variable wind and isolation. Short season: June to September.
Small Muskoka lake oriented north-south. Crystal-clear Canadian Shield freshwater. Rocky bottom (granite), variable depth — some areas very deep. Cool water (16-21°C in summer). Limited chop due to lake size.
