Lyø is a small island in the South Funen Archipelago, accessible by ferry from Faaborg. The main spot is near the harbour and offers turquoise flat water, ideal for freestyle and freeride. Optimal wind is northwest, producing the flattest water. The spot works with winds from west through north to east.
Flat to very slightly choppy water — a true turquoise flat water playground. Shallow water on both sides of the harbour with standing areas. Sandy bottom. No grass fin needed unlike many Baltic spots.

Open all year round
Two large boulders west of the harbour, marked by buoys but easily overlooked — watch your fins. Bird sanctuary at Lyø Trille: access only permitted from 16 July to end of February. Small rigging area east of the harbour.
