Terschelling's North Sea coast (Midsland aan Zee and West aan Zee) offers excellent kite conditions for intermediate to advanced riders. From May through September, stay 200m from beach access points. Terschelling is also a key stop on the legendary TV TAS downwinder — a multi-day kitesurf trip across all 5 Wadden Islands (Texel–Vlieland–Terschelling–Ameland–Schiermonnikoog). Accessible by ferry from Harlingen. Best season: April–September (North Sea side).
Groene Strand on the Wadden Sea side offers shallow beginner-friendly water, rideable 3 hours before and after high tide. More info: NKV Spotkaart
