Uhuru Kite Beach is a kitesurf spot located on the southeast coast of Zanzibar, in the Jambiani area. The beach faces east onto the Indian Ocean and benefits from the southeast trade winds during the Kusi season (June to October). The coral reef creates a flat-water reef flat at low tide, ideal for kitesurfing. The tide is a key element: it radically changes the riding conditions. The spot is suited to beginners and intermediates with its warm, shallow waters over the reef.
