Trekoskraal is a wild ocean spot on the West Coast, north of Saldanha Bay. An isolated beach exposed to Atlantic swell, offering powerful wave conditions for advanced riders. The landscape is typical of the arid West Coast — fynbos, rocks and sand.
Works in strong SE, S and SSW from October to March. Constant Atlantic swell. Best with S arriving side-shore. Tide influences the break.
Big ocean waves. Cold water (12-16°C), 4/3 to 5/3 wetsuit. Powerful current. Sand and rock bottom.

Offshore wind, powerful swell, current, rocks. Very isolated area with no rescue. Cold water. Sharks possible. Ride in groups.
SE (Cape Doctor) side-offshore on this west coast. S and SSW are more favorable (side-shore to side-onshore). In strong SE, the wind remains usable but watch the offshore component. 15-30 knots from October to March.
