Sakalava Bay is a legendary kitesurf spot located in Sakalava Bay, in northern Madagascar, near Diego Suarez. It is one of the best kite spots in the Indian Ocean. The Varatraza, a katabatic southeast wind, is channeled by the mountainous terrain and blows strong and consistently from May to November (20-35 knots). The bay offers a flat, sheltered body of water perfect for all levels.
