Kleinmond is a picturesque coastal village at the foot of the Kogelberg mountains, between Betty's Bay and Hermanus. Kleinmond beach is wild and offers intermediate kite conditions. The village is surrounded by the Kogelberg Nature Reserve, one of the richest fynbos ecosystems in the world. The nearby Palmiet River mouth offers a flat water option.
Works in SE from October to March. Rideable at all tides. Moderate waves. Wind can be disrupted by nearby mountains.

Parking by Kleinmond beach. Quiet and safe village.
SE (Cape Doctor) onshore to side-onshore, 15-25 knots from October to March. The Kogelberg mountains can create local channeling or turbulence effects depending on exact wind direction.
Sharks. Current at river mouth. Baboons in the area — don't leave food. Possible turbulent winds near mountains.
