Millars Point is a spot located on the south coast of Port Elizabeth, in Algoa Bay. It is one of the most popular kitesurfing spots in PE, offering a good balance between waves and accessibility. The beach features a mix of sand and rocky sections. The spot fully benefits from Port Elizabeth's reliable SE wind. Good local kite community with regular sessions.
The spot works with SE to SW wind. Beach break with some rocky sections. Rideable at all tides. Moderate wave size most of the time. Good spot for intermediate wave riding. The PE kite community is active and welcoming. Best from October to March.
Waves of 0.5-2 metres. Mixed sand/rock bottom. Moderate chop in SE. Water temperature between 18-22°C. 3/2 wetsuit in summer, 4/3 in winter.

Parking along Marine Drive. Easy beach access. Residential area. Close to all PE services. This is the main meeting point for PE kiters.
Rocky sections — watch feet and gear. Sharks in Algoa Bay. Lateral currents possible. Shore break during large swells. Wind can be very strong in PE (gusts to 30+ knots).
Southeast wind is very reliable in PE ("Windy City"). Strength of 15-25 knots in summer, blowing side-onshore. SE thermal picks up late morning. This is one of the best-windowed PE spots thanks to direct exposure. SW is more onshore with cold fronts.
