Witsands ("White Sand" in Afrikaans) is a sandy beach between Misty Cliffs and the Cape of Good Hope, on the southern Atlantic coast of the peninsula. The southwest-facing beach takes the full brunt of Atlantic swells. The south-easterly Cape Doctor blows side-offshore to offshore, creating advanced conditions with big waves and technical wind. Wild and uncrowded spot, in an exceptional natural setting.
Works with SW/W swell and SE Cape Doctor. Waves of 1 to 3+ m. Sandy bottom. All tides. Advanced conditions due to offshore wind and isolation.
