The Point is the start of the Jeffreys Bay point break series, located north of Supertubes. This is where southwest swells begin to break along the reef towards the south. The wave is less powerful than Supertubes but offers long rides. For kiting, this is an advanced spot due to the rocky bottom but more accessible than Supertubes. Transition zone between the sandy beach to the north and the reef to the south.
The spot works with SW swell on the reef, with SE wind. Waves are longer and less hollow than at Supertubes. Good spot for long wave riding runs. Mid-high to high tide recommended. Kiting is more tolerated here than at Supertubes. The wave can connect all the way to Supertubes during large swells, offering exceptionally long rides.
