Overview

Margate Beach is the main beach of Margate, a major seaside resort on the Hibiscus Coast in KwaZulu-Natal. This popular beach offers kite conditions with warm tropical waters (22-26°C). Shark nets and lifeguards in season. Very popular holiday destination with excellent infrastructure. Kitesurfing may be limited in peak season.

Hazards

Very many swimmers in peak season. Possible kite restrictions. Shore break. Coastal currents. Sharks despite nets. Jellyfish in summer.
