Margate Beach is the main beach of Margate, a major seaside resort on the Hibiscus Coast in KwaZulu-Natal. This popular beach offers kite conditions with warm tropical waters (22-26°C). Shark nets and lifeguards in season. Very popular holiday destination with excellent infrastructure. Kitesurfing may be limited in peak season.

The dominant wind is the NE (summer trade wind), blowing side-onshore. Regular thermal wind in the afternoon. SSW winds work side-offshore. Year-round, best October to April.
