Slabberts is a wave riding spot on the Melkbosstrand coast, between Melkbos Beach and Crayfish Reef. This advanced spot offers waves breaking on a rocky reef with the south-easterly Cape Doctor in side-offshore. Technical and committed conditions, reserved for experienced riders. The spot is part of the wild coastline section north of Big Bay, appreciated for its quality reef breaks.
Works with southwest swell and SE Cape Doctor. Best from mid-tide to high tide. Waves of 1 to 3 meters on the reef. Technical spot for advanced wave riders.

Parking along Otto du Plessis Drive in Melkbosstrand. Access via a path from the road. No infrastructure. Don't leave valuables in your car.
South-easterly Cape Doctor in side-offshore. Wind of 15 to 35 knots from October to March. The offshore component smooths the water surface and creates good wave riding conditions but complicates return to the beach.
