Sunset Beach is located at the southern end of the Bloubergstrand strip, between Dolphin Beach and Milnerton. This spot offers conditions similar to the neighboring beaches with the south-easterly Cape Doctor, but can be slightly gustier due to the proximity of urban areas. The beach is wide and sandy, popular for freeride and freestyle. It's also an excellent sunset spot (hence the name) with Table Mountain as backdrop.
Works from October to March with the SE Cape Doctor side-onshore. Conditions intermediate between the Bloubergstrand spots (more waves) and Milnerton lagoon (flatter). Works at all tides. Less crowded than Big Bay and Kite Beach, offering more riding space.
