Riet River Mouth is a spot on the Eastern Cape coast, between Kenton-on-Sea and Port Alfred. This river mouth offers sheltered flat water conditions in the estuary, ideal for progression, combined with access to ocean conditions on the adjacent beach. Natural and quiet Sunshine Coast setting.

Access via secondary roads from the R72. Parking on natural ground. Undeveloped area.
The dominant wind is south-westerly, side-onshore on this south-facing coast. Westerly and WSW winds are also favourable. The estuary can channel the wind. South-westerly thermals in summer afternoons.
Strong current at the mouth on outgoing tide. Sharks present. Relatively isolated spot — don't sail alone.
