Middle Beach is a beach situated between the Bushmans River and Kariega River mouths, in the Kenton-on-Sea area on the Sunshine Coast of the Eastern Cape. This sandy beach offers a pleasant setting for kitesurfing with easy access and the relaxed atmosphere typical of Sunshine Coast beach villages.
Sandy beach facing south that works with south-westerly to westerly winds. Easy launching from the beach. Tide affects the available beach width. Flanked by two river mouths that offer flat water areas at high tide.

Ocean water — temperature 18-22°C in summer, 15-18°C in winter. Beach waves possible. Sandy bottom. Wetsuit recommended.
Parking at Kenton-on-Sea, beach access from the village. Access from the R72 between Port Elizabeth and Grahamstown.
The dominant wind is south-westerly, side-onshore on this south-facing coast. Westerly and WSW winds are also favourable. In summer, south-westerly thermals blow regularly in the afternoon, reaching 15-25 knots.
Currents near river mouths. Shore break in big swell. Sharks present in these waters. Sun protection essential.
