Yzerfontein is a small coastal village between Cape Town and Langebaan, on the West Coast. The beach is exposed to the Atlantic Ocean with constant swell and windy conditions. The spot is popular with advanced kitesurfers and surfers. The village retains an authentic charm with its holiday homes and seafood restaurants. It's also a renowned surf spot.
Works in strong SE, S and SSW from October to March. Atlantic swell provides 1 to 3m waves. In standard SE, wind is side-offshore — technical. S is more favorable for kiting. Tide influences the break.
