Overview

Shark Bay is a bay in the Langebaan lagoon, between the main spot and Sandy Bay. Despite its name, the main danger isn't sharks but stingrays. The spot offers shallow flat water in a beautiful setting, perfect for kite progression and freestyle.

Flat water in the lagoon. Shallow water, sandy bottom. Cool water (14-18°C), 3/2 to 4/3 wetsuit.

SE (Cape Doctor) channeled into the lagoon, side-shore, 15-25 knots from October to March. Steady thermal wind early afternoon.
