Cannon Rocks is a small coastal village on the Sunshine Coast of the Eastern Cape, between Alexandria and Kenton-on-Sea. The beach offers a quiet and family-friendly setting for kitesurfing, with a long stretch of sand and easy access. The name comes from an old cannon found on the coastal rocks.

Parking available in Cannon Rocks village, near the beach. Access from the R72 via the Cannon Rocks road.
The dominant wind is south-westerly, blowing side-onshore on this south to south-west facing coast. Westerly and WSW winds are also favourable. In summer, south-westerly thermals blow regularly in the afternoon. Typical strength of 15-25 knots.
Shore break in big swell. Rocks in some areas of the coast — stay in the sandy zones. Sharks present in these waters. Sun protection essential.
