Sours is a kitesurfing spot on the wild west coast of the Western Cape, in the Lamberts Bay area. This exposed and isolated coastline offers powerful conditions in a preserved natural setting. The coast is swept by regular southerly winds in summer and constant Atlantic swell. Reserved for advanced riders due to isolation and demanding conditions.

The dominant summer wind is south to south-east, blowing side-onshore on this west-facing coast. Regular and powerful winds, often 20-30 knots. The flat and open coastal terrain provides unobstructed wind.
Isolated and demanding spot — no rescue nearby. Very cold water — hypothermia risk. Strong currents. Powerful waves. Sharks present. Never sail alone.
