Queensberry Bay is a sandy bay north of East London, near Glen Eden. This beach offers good kite conditions with a pleasant natural setting and warm subtropical waters (20-24°C). The bay provides some swell protection, making conditions more accessible than neighbouring point spots.
The spot works in SW to SE winds. The bay offers partial protection from open ocean swell. Tide influences the available beach width. Best at mid-tide. Sandy bottom allowing safe sailing.

The main kite wind is the south-west (SW), blowing side-onshore. SE to S winds also work well in the bay. SW thermal wind in the afternoon during summer. NE winds blow offshore. Main season: October to March.
Residual swell in heavy seas. Possible currents at the bay exit. Sharks occasionally present. Jellyfish in summer. Solo sailing not recommended.
