Rocky reef in some sections. Powerful shore break. Strong currents along the coast. Sharks present. Committing conditions — reserved for advanced riders. Do not ride without knowing the reef zones.
Southeast wind blows side-onshore. More exposed than St Francis Bay due to position on the cape. Strength of 15-28 knots in summer. WSW is onshore with powerful conditions. The cape point can accelerate the wind. Conditions often windier than in the sheltered bay.
