Paternoster is a charming fishing village on the West Coast, known for its typical white houses and laid-back atmosphere. The kite spot is on the main beach, exposed to the Atlantic Ocean. Conditions are technical with often side-offshore wind and powerful swell. The village has become a popular foodie destination with excellent seafood restaurants.
Works in strong SE, S and SSW from October to March. Atlantic swell is constant. Low tide can expose rocks — mid to high tide preferred. Technical spot, reserved for riders comfortable with offshore wind.
Ocean waves 1 to 2.5m. Sand and rock bottom. Cold water (12-16°C), 4/3 to 5/3 wetsuit mandatory. Coastal current.

The SE (Cape Doctor) arrives side-offshore on this west/northwest-facing coast. S and SSW are more favorable with a side-shore component. In strong SE (25+ knots), rideable but technical. Strength 15-30 knots from October to March.
