Bluewater Bay is Port Elizabeth's flat water spot, located in the northern part of Algoa Bay. Sheltered and shallow water body, ideal for beginners and kite lessons. This is PE's teaching spot, with calm and safe conditions. The bay is protected from swell by its position. One of the few flat water spots in the region.
Sheltered flat water. Shallow. High tide preferable. Teaching spot and freestyle. Works with a wide range of winds.

Parking in Bluewater Bay suburb. Access from N2. Parking by the water. Kite schools in season.
Wind works from many directions (NE to W). PE "Windy City" — reliable wind in summer, 15-25 knots. Less exposed than south coast but good fetch.
Very few dangers. Shallow areas at low tide. Shared space. Muddy bottom in places.
