Kommetjie Point is the main reef break point at Kommetjie, a powerful and long right-hander breaking on a rocky reef. It's one of the most respected surf spots in Cape Town and one of the most dangerous. Waves can reach 3-5+ meters and are extremely powerful. The spot is reserved for expert wave riders. Local surfers are very territorial — respect is essential.
