Cemetery is a kite spot located at Strandfontein, on the southern coast of False Bay, named after the nearby cemetery. It's a popular spot for intermediate kitesurfers looking for more space than Muizenberg Corner. The long sandy beach offers plenty of room and the SE wind blows reliably and consistently.
Works in SE from October to March. Rideable at all tides. Wind picks up early afternoon and can blow strong until sunset. Well suited for riders who want space for jumps and freeriding.
Small to medium waves on sandy bottom. Chop in strong wind. Water at 16-20°C in summer, 3/2 wetsuit. Moderate lateral current in strong SE.

Free parking along the coastal road at Strandfontein. Isolated area — stay vigilant and leave nothing in your vehicle. Avoid parking alone.
Sharks (great whites). Isolated area — risk of theft and mugging, avoid riding alone. Car break-ins. Lateral current in strong SE.
SE (Cape Doctor) onshore to side-onshore wind, from October to March, 15-30 knots. Wind is often stronger and more consistent here than at Muizenberg, with fewer people. Gusts can be powerful in strong SE. NW blows in winter but is offshore on this spot.
