Kamers ("Chambers") is a reef break located between Big Bay and DerdeSteen on the Bloubergstrand/Melkbosstrand coast. This advanced wave spot offers fast and technical reef sections. The south-easterly Cape Doctor creates quality wave riding conditions. Kamers is less known than the neighboring spots but offers excellent waves for riders who know the reef. The spot gets its name from the "chambers" formed by the reef rocks.
Works with southwest swell and the SE Cape Doctor. The reef creates varied wave sections depending on the tide. Best from mid-tide to high tide. Waves of 1 to 2.5 meters. Less exposed than DerdeSteen, more waves than Big Bay. Wave riding spot for advanced riders.
