Galu Beach is a major kitesurfing spot on the south coast of Kenya, adjacent to Diani Beach. This white sand beach faces east onto the Indian Ocean and benefits from the protection of the coral reef which creates a flat water lagoon. The southeast trade winds (Kusi season, June to October) offer reliable and consistent wind conditions. The spot is ideal for beginners and intermediates with its warm, shallow and protected waters. The tide plays an important role in sailing conditions.
