Svallas is a spot on Samos's northwest coast, further west than Kokkari. This spot is even more exposed to the Meltemi channeling through the Samos-Ikaria strait, with conditions often stronger and more challenging than Kokkari. The beach is wilder and more isolated. It's a spot for advanced riders seeking strong wind and wave conditions.
Rideable May to September. Conditions regularly strong — plan for 5-9m² kites. Launch from the pebble beach. No water sports center on site — autonomous riders only. Kokkari's centers are a few kilometers east. Spot for wave-riding and committed freeride.
Exposed water with 1-2.5m waves in strong Meltemi. Steep, short chop. Pebble and rock bottom. Bigger wave conditions than Kokkari due to more direct exposure to the strait's fetch.
