An alternative to the flat spots of Lauwersoog, the Haven spot is located east of Lauwersoog harbour, along the dike. Access from the dike, within 2.5 hours around high tide. Wind swell present here unlike the flat spots of the Lauwersmeer and the Waddenzee Hoek van de Bant. Direct view of the Lauwersoog–Schiermonnikoog ferries. More dynamic bottom, choppy with small wind waves.
Park on the dike east of Lauwersoog harbour. Usable within 2.5 hours around HW. Watch out for Schiermonnikoog ferry traffic. No facilities on site.

NE/N: best directions for wind swell. All directions rideable thanks to the harbour configuration. Useful alternative when flat spots are too monotonous or too shallow. Pleasant small wind waves (wind swell) for chop hops.
Alternative spot to flat water spots — water with chop/wind swell, more dynamic conditions. Usable only within 2.5 hours around high tide. Active tidal current in and around the harbour — watch out for ferry vessels (Schiermonnikoog). Intermediate level minimum.
