La Cabane — small beach 500 m west of Carro, on the Côte Bleue (municipality of Martigues). Alternative to Carro when the Mistral blows from pure north (offshore at Carro, side-on here). Less well-known than its neighbor Carro but appreciated by locals. More sheltered body of water than Carro, less technical waves.
Access: from Carro (Martigues), 500 m westward along the coast. Same road access as Carro (Côte Bleue, Martigues). With pure N Mistral: when Carro is offshore and waves flattened, La Cabane receives side-on wind — ideal alternative. With NW: also works, cross-onshore. With S/SE: prefer Carro which catches the swell better.

Rocky Côte Bleue bottom — beware of falls. Limited launch space. Possible currents in strong swell.
