Seebruck / Chiemsee

Seebruck / Chiemsee

Overview

The Chiemsee is the largest lake in Bavaria, nicknamed the "Bavarian Sea". Seebruck is located at the northeast end of the lake, at the mouth of the Alz river. Beautiful alpine scenery, flat to choppy water depending on the wind. Wind is often thermal in the afternoon during the season. Ideal for kitesurfing and wingfoil in light to moderate conditions. Recommended season: April–October. Wind often insufficient for windsurfing but very suited for kite (12–18m²).
